Grade Doctor- Eating Disorder Unit

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Grade Doctor to join a Eating Disorder Unit in Cheadle. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care to patients suffering from eating disorders.

As a Staff Grade Doctor, you will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing the medical care of patients within a specialized eating disorder unit. You will collaborate closely with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all patients receive holistic and individualized care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide medical assessment and treatment to patients with eating disorders in an inpatient setting
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring integrated care for patients
• Develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring medical and psychiatric needs are addressed
• Conduct regular patient reviews, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Provide support and guidance to junior staff and trainees
• Participate in clinical supervision and case discussions
• Support the development and delivery of patient-focused care, considering both physical and mental health
• Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices in the treatment of eating disorders
• Participate in on-call and out-of-hours services as required

Key Requirements:

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
