Head Registered Veterinary Nurse – Chobham

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (HRVN) at an established Chobham clinic. As the Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing team and the day-to-day running of the practice. You will manage a team of Nurses and reception staff, supported by dedicated Practice Managers and leadership from the Branch Partner.

This role involves all aspects of nursing, from assisting with surgeries and procedures to managing nurse-led appointments and schedule 3 activities. You will have the opportunity to share best practices, support and develop student nurses, and work closely with the Branch Partner to continuously improve the practice and team. You will also ensure patient care and safety are always at the forefront of everything we do.

This position is full-time, working 43 hours per week with 1:4 weekends.

Role Accountabilities:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your patients and clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre- and post-procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse-led appointments and schedule 3 procedures.
• Monitor patient health and provide ongoing care.
• Manage patient admissions and discharges, in collaboration with the Veterinary team.
• Oversee patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care services as needed.
• Dispense and check medications.
• Deliver professional excellence, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and operational standards.
• Lead briefings to coordinate the nursing team and ensure smooth, effective practice operations.

Your Skills and Experience:

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
