Locum GP – Canterbury

Our client, a well-established general practice in Canterbury, is seeking an experienced Locum GP to join their friendly and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled GP to work in a supportive environment that values both modern approaches and traditional values in delivering high-quality patient care. Our client is a well-established general practice in Canterbury, known for its commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. The practice boasts a friendly and forward-thinking team, with 3 partners, 3 salaried GPs, 1 ANP, and a range of additional roles including Physician Associate, Health & Wellbeing Coaches, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists, Mental Health Support Worker & FCP, and Social Prescribing Link Worker.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a variety of practice duties, including face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, and rare home/care home visits!
• Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers
• Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
• Develop care plans for patients with long-term conditions
• Provide counselling and health education to patients
• Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate
• Support and supervise Physician Associates when required to ensure smooth running of the practice

Requirements

• GMC registration and licence to practice
• Relevant GP qualification and experience
