Deputy Ward Manager – Manchester

We are working with a provider who is looking for a compassionate and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join their Bespoke Therapeutic Placement Unit. This unit offers a dedicated and supportive environment for individuals with complex needs, providing tailored, one-to-one care that promotes healing and progress. As Deputy Ward Manager, you will lead a dynamic nursing team and play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide senior leadership to the nursing team, supporting the Ward Manager in managing ward operations.
• Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment, applying relevant policies and statutory requirements.
• Assess and manage risks to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Supervise and develop nursing staff, including providing mentorship and clinical supervision.
• Lead and implement therapeutic interventions, supporting individuals to develop coping strategies.
• Support the recruitment and retention of staff, helping to create a stable and effective team.

Essential Criteria:

• Active NMC Registration.
• Trained Assessor/Supervisor.
• At least 18 months – 2 years of post-registration experience in a similar setting.
