Pharmacy Tech – Bedford

Our client, a leading healthcare organisation in Bedford, is seeking a full time experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their dynamic medicines optimisation clinical services team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a real impact in delivering high-quality, safe, and effective pharmacy services. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely supply of medicines, utilising patients’ own medications, and providing medicines adherence training. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the department’s strong focus on medicines optimization and innovative pharmaceutical practice.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-focused care
• Ensure timely supply of medicines and utilise patients’ own medications
• Provide medicines adherence training to patients and staff
• Participate in medicines management, ward top-up, and ward-based dispensing
• Offer dispensary-based services to inpatients and outpatients, including clinical trials
• Work towards becoming an Accredited Pharmacy Checking Technician
• Assist in training Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists
