Veterinary Assistant – Sunderland

We are working with a lovely vet who are looking to expand their team with a motivated and caring Veterinary Assistant in Sunderland. The practice is known for its friendly, compassionate approach to animal healthcare. They offer a wide range of services, from routine check-ups to advanced diagnostics, in a modern, well-equipped facility.

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting their veterinary team and ensuring the smooth running of the practice. You’ll assist with the care of animals, assist in clinical procedures, help manage patient records, and support the wider team in providing excellent care. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with animal handling and ensure patient comfort during exams and procedures.
• Support veterinary team with clinical tasks and patient care.
• Monitor patients under anesthesia and report any changes.
• Assist with client communication, appointment scheduling, and post-visit care advice.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure cleanliness of the clinic.
• Help with lab tasks, including sample collection and preparation
