Prison GP job in Leeds

We are currently seeking a Locum GP with prison clearance to support healthcare services within a secure environment in Leeds. This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident and adaptable GP to work in a unique clinical setting, delivering essential care to an often underserved population.

The role offers £100 per hour, with both long-term and ad hoc bookings available to suit your availability. There are flexible shift patterns, including full days and evening sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Run clinics and provide holistic, patient-centred care to a diverse prison population

• Conduct segregation rounds

• Admin

• Work collaboratively with mental health, substance misuse, and nursing teams

• Participate in MDTs and contribute to continuity of care and risk management

• Support education, safeguarding, and health promotion initiatives within the prison

About You:

• GMC registered with a license to practise
• MRCGP or equivalent
• Experience in secure environments, urgent care, or complex needs (desirable but not essential)
