Consultant Psychiatrist – Dewsbury

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join a lovely team in Dewsbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients in an inpatient setting.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for leading the psychiatric care of patients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing support. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure that each patient receives holistic and effective care tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead psychiatric assessments and diagnosis for patients within an inpatient setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring patient-centered care
• Provide expert guidance and supervision to junior medical staff and other team members
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care
• Offer support for mental health and crisis management, including medication management
• Maintain high standards of clinical practice, adhering to relevant policies and guidelines
• Provide teaching, training, and support to staff and contribute to clinical audits and research
• Participate in on-call and out-of-hours services as required

Key Requirements:

• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a valid license to practice
• Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
