A leading adult neurodevelopmental service in Manchester is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join its expanding Adult ADHD and Autism (ASD) Assessment Service, working either fully remote, hybrid, or on‑site. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychologist who is passionate about adult ADHD and autism assessment and is looking for a flexible, supportive role within a psychology‑led multidisciplinary team. A full‑time position can be offered by combining responsibilities across several established internal services, providing excellent exposure to a range of adult neurodevelopmental and mental health presentations.

You will work as part of a friendly MDT delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based assessments for adults with varied and sometimes complex needs, with strong opportunities for CPD, service development, and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct specialist ADHD and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments for adults.
  • Deliver structured, evidence‑based assessment pathways in line with national guidelines.
  • Provide clear, compassionate feedback and post‑assessment guidance to service users and their families/carers.
  • Offer clinical leadership, supervision, and/or training to colleagues where appropriate.
  • Contribute to ongoing service development, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work flexibly across remote telehealth assessments and face‑to‑face clinics in Manchester.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified (or soon‑to‑qualify) Clinical Psychologist (DClinPsy or equivalent), eligible for UK professional registration (HCPC or equivalent).
  • Experience or strong interest in adult ADHD and/or ASD assessment.
  • Excellent clinical formulation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a small multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in specialist psychological assessments or adult mental health settings.

Desirable Experience

  • Prior experience in adult neurodevelopmental services (ADHD, Autism, ASD).
  • Additional training related to Autism, ADHD, neurodevelopmental assessment, or relevant therapeutic approaches.
  • Experience providing teaching, training, or clinical supervision.
