Remote Consultant Psychiatrist

A leading national ADHD assessment provider seeks experienced Consultant Psychiatrists to join its established remote diagnostic and titration service. Working with pre-screened cases from specialist ADHD nurses, you’ll deliver gold-standard assessments for adults and young people (16) presenting with combined-type, inattentive, and hyperactive-impulsive ADHD across the full diagnostic spectrum.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive ADHD diagnostic assessments (90-120 mins) via secure video
• Apply DSM-5/ICD-11 diagnostic criteria with structured clinical interview (DIVA-5, ASRS-v1.1)
• Initiate and titrate core treatments: methylphenidate (Concerta, Ritalin), lisdexamfetamine (Elvanse), atomoxetine (Strattera)
• Manage complex comorbidity (anxiety, depression, ASD traits, substance use)
• Provide telephone follow-up for titration reviews and treatment optimisation
• Participate in monthly MDT calibration meetings and clinical governance

Requirements

• Full GMC registration with CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or equivalent)
• Proven ADHD assessment experience (private/independent sector desirable)
• Comfortable with remote video assessments and electronic prescribing
