Gastrointestinal Physiologist

We are currently recruiting an experienced Gastrointestinal Physiologist for a well-established clinical service in Birmingham. This is an excellent locum opportunity to work in a modern, well-supported GI physiology department, delivering a comprehensive range of diagnostic investigations to an adult patient cohort. This role is ideally suited to a Specialist Registered GI Physiologist seeking flexible working, excellent pay rates, and optional accommodation support.

Key Benefits:

• £110–£150 per hour
• Predominantly midweek sessions
• Optional weekend work available
• Accommodation provided if required

Core GI Physiology Tests Required:

• Oesophageal Manometry
• 24-Hour pH Monitoring
• Ano-Rectal Manometry
• Hydrogen Breath Testing
• Endo-Anal Ultrasound
• Pelvic Floor Biofeedback
• Primarily adult patients
• Small paediatric caseload (approximately 5–10 patients per year)

Requirements:

• HCPC registered
• On the Specialist Register
• Proven experience delivering a full range of GI physiology investigations
