This locum GP position presents a unique opportunity to deliver essential healthcare services within the Prison system, where you’ll play a critical role in addressing significant health inequalities among an underserved population. Working as part of our established multidisciplinary team, you’ll collaborate closely with mental health specialists, substance misuse workers, prison officers, and social care professionals to provide holistic, patient-centered care in this challenging yet rewarding environment. The role offers exposure to complex clinical presentations rarely seen in community practice, including dual diagnoses all within the distinctive context of the prison healthcare framework.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months verified prison GP experience (CV must demonstrate this)

• Current NOMS clearance

• Full GMC registration with license to practice

• Strong understanding of prison healthcare protocols

• Ability to manage challenging patient interactions professionally
