Consultant Psychiatrist

An established independent mental health hospital in Paisley seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist for its experienced clinical team. The service supports adults with acute and enduring mental health difficulties through structured care pathways and strong MDT input. • £135,000 per year (DOE)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and diagnosis for adult inpatients
• Develop and oversee individualised treatment plans with MDT input
• Lead daily ward rounds and clinical reviews
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to training
• Participate in clinical governance, audit, and service development
• Liaise with external agencies and manage complex discharges

Requirements

• GMC registration with licence to practise
• Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT) in Psychiatry
• Consultant-level inpatient/community experience desirable
