Prison GP Locum

We are seeking an experienced Prison GP with prison clearance to join a secure healthcare service in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated GP to provide primary care in a highly impactful setting, addressing the physical and mental health needs of inmates.

Key details:

• £100 per hour
• 5 day work week 
• Long term locum
• No on-call requirements
• Provide holistic care to prisoners in a secure environment
• Conduct segregation rounds and medical assessments
• Deliver high-quality patient-centered care in face-to-face clinics
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Collaborate with clinical, security, and MDT teams to ensure effective care planning

Essential Requirements:

• GMC Registration with an active license to practice
• Prison clearance (essential)
• Prior experience in primary care, urgent care, or working in a secure environment preferred
