Consultant Psychiatrist

An established independent mental health hospital in Paisley seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist for its experienced clinical team. The service supports adults with acute and enduring mental health difficulties through structured care pathways and strong MDT input. Ideal for consultants valuing clinical autonomy and service influence.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and diagnosis for adult inpatients
• Develop and oversee individualised treatment plans with MDT input
• Lead daily ward rounds and clinical reviews
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to training
• Participate in clinical governance, audit, and service development
• Liaise with external agencies and manage complex discharges

Requirements

• GMC registration with licence to practise
• Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT) in Psychiatry
