Prison GP

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Prison Cleared Locum GP to join the healthcare service in Leeds. Working in a secure environment, you’ll provide comprehensive primary care to patients requiring both acute and ongoing support across physical and mental health needs. Key Information

• £700-£850 per day (umbrella or Ltd company)
• Flexible 3-5 days per week
• Locum / Freelance contract
• Deliver face-to-face clinics with holistic, patient-centred care
• Conduct segregation rounds and complete accurate documentation
• Collaborate with clinical teams, security staff, and MDTs
• Support continuity of care planning and health interventions
• Weekly payments via digital timesheets
• Personal consultant support for bookings and compliance
• Fast-track prison clearance assistance
• Free on-site parking

Requirements

• GMC registered with full licence to practise
• Prison clearance (essential – fast-track support available)
• Experience in primary care, urgent care, or secure environments advantageous
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
• Commitment to high clinical standards in complex setting
