Consultant Psychiatrist near Leicester

A progressive mental health service near Leicester is looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join its clinical team. This role offers the opportunity to take overall clinical responsibility for a defined caseload while working within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Role Overview

• Take overall clinical responsibility for a defined caseload of service users
• Lead on specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence‑based intervention for individuals with complex mental health needs
• Provide expert consultation and guidance to the multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, nurses, and social care professionals
• Participate in clinical reviews, case discussions, and service‑development activities
• £60,000 per year (pro‑rata / portfolio‑style, depending on hours)

Requirements

• GMC registration with a licence to practise
• CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant area of Psychiatry
• Experience working with individuals with complex and enduring mental health difficulties
• Strong skills in psychological formulation and evidence‑based interventions
• Excellent communication, leadership, and MDT working skills
