An exciting opportunity for a Superintendent Pharmacist has opened up at a top-rated healthcare organisation near Newmarket, Suffolk.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to take on a dual role as Superintendent Pharmacist and Responsible Person for wholesale operations.

 

About the Position:

  • £50,000 per annum (D.O.E.)
  • Ensure full compliance with GPhC standards, operating safely, legally, and ethically
  • Provide professional and clinical leadership across the pharmacy team
  • Oversee and approve all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure data protection and patient confidentiality compliance
  • Ensure wholesale operations meet Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards
  • Maintain and update Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Oversee storage, transportation, and product integrity
  • Conduct self-inspections, risk assessments, and CAPAs implementation
  • Act as point of contact for MHRA audits and inspections
  • Flexible start date available

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
  • Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC
  • Community pharmacy experience essential
  • Eligible and willing to be named Superintendent Pharmacist
  • Eligible and willing to be named Responsible Person (RP) for wholesale operations
  • Strong knowledge of GPhC regulations, MHRA guidance, and GDP requirements
  • Responsible Person training from a recognised provider
  • Experience within online pharmacy models
  • Previous experience with GPhC and/or MHRA inspections
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software and e-commerce platforms
