Consultant Radiologist (USGIs)

An imaging service in Portsmouth is seeking a Consultant Radiologist with a strong interest in US‑guided procedures for musculoskeletal and pain‑related indications. The role involves delivering a busy, patient‑centred US‑guided injections and aspirations service, working closely with orthopaedics, rheumatology and pain teams. The post is well‑remunerated, with a daily rate of £1,200–£1,500 (DOE and session type) and potential for weekly or block‑session work.

Key responsibilities:

• Performing ultrasound‑guided injections, aspirations, nerve blocks and soft‑tissue procedures.
• Interpreting and reporting MSK and general ultrasound studies.
• Standardising and expanding the US‑guided intervention pathway.
• Supervising and supporting junior radiologists and radiographers in US technique and safety.
• Participating in routine and on‑call radiology duties at a consultant level.
