Locum GP (Prison)

A well-established healthcare provider delivering NHS services within a secure setting is seeking an experienced Locum GP to join its multidisciplinary healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality, inclusive primary care to patients with a broad range of physical health, mental health and substance misuse needs.

• One day per week

• £135,000 p/a

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive primary care clinics within a secure environment
• Assess, diagnose and manage a range of acute and chronic health conditions
• Support patients with complex needs, including a history of substance misuse
• Work collaboratively with nurses, mental health professionals and other healthcare practitioners
• Contribute to safeguarding, health promotion and preventative healthcare
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical discussions
• Maintain accurate clinical records and work in accordance with relevant professional standards

Requirements:

• Confidence working with patients who have a history of substance misuse
• Certificate in Substance Misuse Parts 1 and 2, or a willingness to complete these qualifications
